15 bodies of Indians who died in Vietnam boat accident sent to Mumbai by air

The Indian Embassy in Vietnam has reported that 15 people have died after a high-speed boat carrying Indian tourists capsized near Vietnam's Phu Quoc island. Prime Minister Modi, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, among others, have expressed their condolences for the accident.


The Indian Embassy announced that 10 people from Tamil Nadu, 2 from Kerala, and 3 from Andhra Pradesh died in the accident. Meanwhile, 17 Indian tourists involved in the accident were rescued and admitted to the hospital. Of these, 16 have been discharged after treatment, while one person continues to receive treatment.


Vietnam's Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has ordered a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. The bodies of the deceased Indian tourists have been recovered, and arrangements were being made to send them to India.


After all the procedures were completed, the bodies of the 15 Indians are being brought to Mumbai today from Ho Chi Minh City on a Vietnam Airlines flight.
